Girona Flower Festival

Spring is a magical time for nature lovers, especially in May, the month of flowers par excellence. If you are one of them, you cannot miss Temps de Flors 2023, the 68th edition of this floral festival that is held in the city of Girona from May 13 to 21.

For 9 days, you will be able to marvel at the floral decoration of a wide variety of gardens, patios, buildings and monuments in the city, created selflessly by entities and volunteers. This year, the exhibition will be spread over a total of 106 spaces in thirteen different neighborhoods and you can visit it every day from 10 in the morning to 10 at night, with the exception of two Saturdays and Wednesday, May 17, which the hours will be extended until 12 at night.

Among the novelties this year, the reopening of interior spaces such as the Girona History Museum, the León Avinay House, the church of San Lucas, the Díaz Tarragó building, the Martínez Davalillos House and the Girona History Museum stand out. Jews, as well as access to the former Odeon ballroom.

In addition, in this edition, measures have been taken to adapt to the state of drought that affects the area, using groundwater transported with a truck tank that will be distributed in different smaller 1,000-liter tanks that will be located in exterior spaces of the hull Old from Girona. The City Council has acquired the necessary means to transport the water and facilitate its irrigation, which will be manual, with the placement of 12 fixed tanks and 12 eventual tanks in different parts of the city.
